Reality kicks in...

The year is 2011, finally after months of talking and deciding and getting over-whelmed with all the information lord google provided us, we decided enough is enough and we have to finally take the plunge!

We decided to take baby steps, like infant baby steps! We made our respective cities, our 1st travel destinations.

This eliminated half of our worries like lodging, food and transportation. Since one of us had been living there for enough time to have all those 3 things. The other half was figuring out what to explore in our limited 4 day long weekend vacation.

I flew down to Chicago, where my friend was at the time and we started our 1st ever girls trip exploring Chicago in all its glory!

Let me start by saying, that traveling is a big learning experience. You learn about the place, about the person you are traveling with and more importantly about yourself.

Our 1st few trips taught us the importance of weather! and its unpredictability, more on that later.
